The Community First Foundation is one of the largest charitable foundations in the country, distributing more than $325 million in grants each year. Funds raised by the Incentive Fund are available to nonprofits that meet strict criteria. After the conclusion of Colorado Gives Day, the maximum available funds will be divvied up among the nonprofits that raised the most during the campaign. Colorado Gives Day Colorado Gives Day, the state’s largest annual online giving day, is May 2, 2018. The campaign raised more than $64 million for more than 200,000 nonprofits statewide this year, a 22 percent increase over the previous record. The campaign has raised more than $200 million since it began in 2010, all of which has been donated to Colorado nonprofit organizations through First Bank. Colorado Gives Day (CGGD) is a 24-hour online giving event that kicks off December 2 and ends December 5. In partnership with the Community First Foundation, First Bank, and the Colorado Gives Foundation, more than 1,900 nonprofit organizations have planned 4,000 Colorado Gives Day projects that benefit Coloradoans across the state. Supporting nonprofits in the San Luis Valley Donate to First Bank Colorado Gives Day Colorado Gives Day began in 2011 as a part of the nationwide 501(c)(3) charitable giving day, which originated in Colorado Springs. In 2016, Colorado Gives Day raised $15 million for nonprofits across the state. In 2018, Colorado Gives Day will take place on Tuesday, December 4th. The one-day giving initiative has raised more than $35 million in its seven-year history, representing $1.5 million every day. That equates to more than $20 million in charitable donations per month to Colorado nonprofit organizations. “It’s a tremendous opportunity for our community to give back to local nonprofits and support the needs of our neighbors and friends,” said Amy Matinee, CEO of First Bank.

Colorado Gives Day is a holiday centered on philanthropy.
